AbriStitch: copyright and illegal content complaints

Effective: 31.10.2026 · Version 1.0

Draft. A lawyer reviews this text before release; until then it is not the version in force.

This page explains how to tell us about content in AbriStitch that infringes your copyright or is otherwise illegal, and what happens next. It is our notice-and-action procedure under Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act and our procedure for rights holders under the law of Ukraine.

Provider: DREAM CAR, LTD LLC, 142-a, of. 11, vul. Shevchenka, Kharkiv 61013, Ukraine. EU legal representative: to be announced.

What AbriStitch hosts

  • Pattern files imported by users. They are private: stored on the user's phone, in the user's private cloud copy and backup copy, and, for files that did not import correctly, in our importer test collection. They are never shown or shared to other users.
  • Posts in a pattern's discussion, visible to other users of the same pattern.
  • Abris Art kit patterns, which we publish ourselves.

Because user files are not visible to anyone else, you cannot point to a public link. Instead you can identify the work, and we find every identical copy by its content checksum.

How to send a notice

Email [email protected], subject "AbriStitch copyright notice" (or "AbriStitch illegal content"), in Ukrainian, English or Polish. To report a single post you can also tap "Report" on it in the app.

Please include:

  1. Your name and email address (and, if you act for a rights holder, whom you represent and your authority to do so).
  2. What is infringed: the work (pattern title, designer, where it is published or sold).
  3. Where it is in AbriStitch:
    • for a file: attach your original file, or give its SHA-256 checksum, so we can find identical copies; if you know the file differs (for example a re-saved copy), describe it (title, size in stitches, number of colours);
    • for a post: the pattern it is under and the text, or a screenshot.
  4. Why it is illegal: for copyright, that you own the rights or are authorised, and that the use is not permitted.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the information in the notice is accurate and complete.

A notice that contains this information gives us actual knowledge of the content. Incomplete notices are not ignored: we will ask for what is missing.

What happens next

  1. Acknowledgement: we confirm receipt by email without undue delay, normally within 2 working days.
  2. Assessment: a person reviews the notice diligently and objectively, normally within 5 working days; clear cases faster. We may ask you or the user for information.
  3. Action, if the content is illegal or breaks our Terms of Use:
    • post: hidden for everyone;
    • file: removed from the user's cloud copy, our backup copy and our importer test collection, every identical copy found by checksum; the file is blocked from being uploaded to our servers again. We do not reach into users' phones: a copy the user keeps on their own device is their private copy and their responsibility.
    • repeated infringement: posting blocked after a warning; serious cases may lead to closing the account.
  4. Notice to you: we tell you our decision and, where we decided by automated means, we say so (we do not: decisions are taken by a person).
  5. Notice to the user: the user sees in the app what we did and why, the legal basis, and how to ask for a review (statement of reasons under DSA Article 17). We do not give the user your email address unless you agree or the law requires it.

If you disagree

  • The user can ask for a review within 6 months by writing to [email protected] with reasons (for example a licence from the author). A different person reviews the decision. If the user shows the use is lawful, we restore the content and tell you.
  • The notifier can also ask for a review of a decision not to act.
  • Both may use an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under the Digital Services Act, or go to court.

Ukraine

Rights holders may also use the procedure provided by the Law of Ukraine "On Copyright and Related Rights" (No. 2811-IX) for stopping infringement online. We accept such applications at the same address and handle them within the time limits that law sets, at least as quickly as described above.

Abuse of this procedure

Knowingly false notices can make the sender liable. We may stop handling notices from someone who repeatedly sends clearly unfounded notices, after a warning (DSA Article 23).

Other illegal content

Use the same address and the same information for any other illegal content (for example threats, personal data posted without consent). If content suggests a threat to someone's life or safety, we inform the competent authorities (DSA Article 18).

Authorities

Authorities of EU Member States and the European Commission can contact us at [email protected] (single point of contact, DSA Article 11), in Ukrainian, English or Polish, or through our EU legal representative.
